Four matches have been played in the 2022 LCS Spring Playoffs for a total of fifteen games, and of those fifteen games, ten of those wins belong to the teams on the red side.

The first series of the LCS Spring Playoffs was between 3rd seed 100 Thieves and 2nd seed Cloud9 in the upper bracket. 100 won all three games to take the match in a clean sweep, with the first two victories coming from the red side. The next match was 1st seed Team Liquid against 4th seed Evil Geniuses on the other side of the upper bracket. EG put up a good fight, but TL won the series 3-2 with all five games in the series being won by the team on the red side.

Most recently, Evil Geniuses, after being sent to the lower bracket due to the loss against Team Liquid, faced off against 5th seed FlyQuest with elimination threatening the loser of the match. EG was able to win the series 3-1 in relatively convincing fashion and played all four games of the series from the red side.

The one exception to the trend was Cloud9's lower bracket 3-0 over 6th seed Golden Guardians. C9 was sent to the lower bracket by 100 Thieves before eliminating Golden Guardians without dropping a game. Cloud9 looked far superior to Golden Guardians throughout the series, with all three wins coming from the blue side.

Red side held a superior winrate over blue side in the 2022 LEC Spring Playoffs, with 17 of 30 total games coming from the team on red side, but that was not the initial trend.

In the first round of the LEC Spring Playoffs, blue side won 10 of the thirteen games played across three series, but red side ended up as the superior side as the post-season meta continued to evolve. Red side teams won 14 of the last 17 games played in the LEC Spring Playoffs.
