AFs Kramer: "It still doesn’t mean that things like Irelia support are good"

On March 11th (KST), Afreeca Freecs swept MVP 2-0 in the first matchup of Day 29 LCK Spring Split 2017, held at Sangam eStadium. To keep up with his Pentakill from the last match, Jonghoon “Kramer” Ha contributed to the today’s victory with his solid plays.

Below is the post-match press interview with Kramer.

You’re on a roll with the four consecutive wins. How are you feeling?

It feels good that my team is poised to advance to the playoffs. To be honest though, I’m a little bummed out that I didn’t play that well this match.

Specifically, what do you regret the most about the today’s match?

I was too giddy to focus in Game 2. I missed a couple ultimates and got killed in the Dragon teamfight in Game 1.

How did it feel to get Pentakill in the last match?

I guess it was somewhat satisfying, but I can’t seem to concentrate on practice maybe because that Pentakill took a lot from me.

MVP is renowned for its unconventional draft. Ironically, it was Afreeca that drafted unusual picks today. Was this intended prior to the match?

We initially intended to stick with a standard draft, but I suggested using Camille support since she was open. We were able to draft a much more aggressive comp, which allowed Marin to take Rumble.

Tusin seems to be quite fond of unorthodox supports. Any thoughts?

It still doesn’t mean that things like Irelia support are good. [laughs] He’s really into playing weird support champions, so we, Marin included, try to keep him in check.

4-win streak must have been a big boost for the team morale. Looking back, What are some good and bad things that happened up until this point in the Split?

Good is that our hard work is paying off in the results. Bad is that I’m under a little stress for not having much free time.

Your momentum is definitely building up. Are you confident with the next match against SKT?

I frequently watch our game against SKT and wonder how we beat a team like that. Like the last time, it won’t be easy the next time we face them, but I’ll do my best.

If you beat SKT again, do you think you’ll be more confident in the remaining matches?

I’m not so sure because we lost to every other team since our victory over SKT. Strangely, beating SKT gets us really giddy, which causes us to make more mistakes.

After the 7.5 patch, people highly rate autoattack ADCs. Any thoughts?

Taking Warlord’s Bloodlust definitely lowers lane sustainability. I think Fervor of Battle is better for now. I do think that we’ll see more AA-focused ADCs like the newly buffed Lucian.

Anything else you’d like to say?

Please don’t be too hard on my mistake in Game 2. [laughs] I’ll play better next time.
