North American organization Immortals made its first roster change for 2021 this Monday. The team released Sage player Jason "jmoh" Mohandessi and Cypher main Jason "neptune" Tran, who've been with the org since October.

Neptune and jmoh were part of Immortals big revamp in the fall and joined the roster alongside Andrew "ShoT_UP" Orlowski. The trio helped Immortals to their first grand final — the NSG x Renegades Invitational, where they lost to Andbox — and later to the playoffs of FIrst Strike North America, where they took top 8 and $5,000.

"There wasn't really faith in Immortals, and then we came out really strong, and I think proved a lot of people wrong," ShoT_UP told Inven Global during First Strike, while also remembering how neptune was the one who recruited him to play for Immortals.

"I was sitting on the toilet surfing Reddit when neptune messages me and is just like 'You want to play for Immortals?' and I was just like, 'What the f***, dude?'"

The departures leave Immortals down to three players: ShoT_UP plus founding members Amgalan "Genghsta" Nemekhbayar and Noah "jcStani" Smith. That said, there's plenty of time for Immortals to find new signees, as VALORANT's next big tournament — the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) — only starts in February.

Immortals VALORANT roster:

  • Amgalan "Genghsta" Nemekhbayar
  • Noah "jcStani" Smith
  • Andrew "ShoT_UP" Orlowski
  • Jordan "Gunba" Graham (coach)
