On the 11th (KST), Gen.G announced the departure of two members from their League of Legends coaching staff, Yeo “TrAce” Chang-dong and Im “Tom” Jae-hyun. It’s no surprise that Gen.G are preparing to reorganize their roster, as off-season roster moves are actively taking place all around the world.

Both TrAce and Tom have pro player experience in their careers. Tom, who was known to be an Udyr one-trick in his amateur days, rose to fame as the jungler for SKT T1. He then went on to the LPL to play for QG-Snake, and debuted as a coach in 2017.

As once a top laner for Jin Air Greenwings, TrAce joined Choi “Edgar” Woo-beom to lead Samsung Galaxy (Gen.G) to Worlds, and have continued to serve the team since then. After Edgar’s departure earlier this year, Joo “oDin” Yeong-dal took the role of interim head coach, and while they successfully qualified for Worlds 2020, they unfortunately fell short in the quarterfinals of the tournament to G2 Esports.

Via Gen.G’s official Twitter, they commented, “Both coach TrAce and coach Tom have served as reliable mentor figures for the players throughout their respective tenures. We would like to thank coach TrAce and coach Tom for all they have done for the team and wish them all the best, wherever they may go.”
