The head coach for JDG, Homme, parts ways with the organization after two years of tenure.

On the 3rd (KST), JD Gaming announced the departure of their head coach, Yoon “Homme” Sung-young.

 

Homme first debuted in the scene as a top laner for MVP White in 2012, and as part of MVP Ozone in 2013, he was part of the squad that won 2013 Champions Spring (now known as LCK Spring). He transitioned into the coaching role with Samsung White in 2014, and headed to LPL in late 2014 as a coach. Since then, he continued to build his career in the LPL, and his latest career achievement includes becoming the 2020 LPL Spring champions and a top 8 finish at Worlds 2020.

 

 

Regarding this news, JDG commented via their official Twitter, “After 2 years of extraordinary contribution to JDG, our head coach will be stepping down from his position. We wish nothing but the best for Homme, and you will always be a part of the JDG family.”
