The following was sent to Inven Global as a press release.

Flashpoint, the global Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament series from team-owned esports organization B Site, Inc., will return with its second tournament series with group play on Nov. 9-22, playoffs on Nov. 30-Dec. 5 and the Grand Final on Dec. 6 with 12 teams competing for the $1 million prize pool, with $500,000 and the AK-47 trophy going to the champion.

Flashpoint 2 will feature B Site founding teams - Cloud9, c0ntact Gaming, Dignitas, Envy Gaming, Gen.G, MAD Lions and MIBR, - along with 3 additional teams ranked in the top 20 receiving direct invites and a European qualifier to fill the final 2 open slots. The open qualifiers will be held next week.

Flashpoint 2 competitors will be playing online to ensure the highest standards for safety around COVID-19, so the competition will be limited to teams who are able to quarantine in Europe to provide better network conditions.

The on-camera talent crew for Flashpoint 2, again led by Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles and Duncan “Thorin” Shields, will be together in the studio in London providing best-in-class production, commentary, and storytelling throughout the tournament.

“We’re dramatically improving the levels of both the competition and broadcast production for Flashpoint 2, ” said Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles, Commissioner for Flashpoint. “We’re eager to give our fans a raw and unfiltered CS:GO tournament series while still taking necessary precautions to keep players safe. ”

Fans will also welcome the return of Flashpoint’s own original post-game analysis show called The Blind Spot. The show, the brainchild of Co-Host Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles, was modeled after the concept of friends discussing esports matches in a casual bar environment.

Along with Duncan “Thorin” Shields, they wanted to do something different than the typical talking heads at desks segments you see in other sports and esports products. The show has been a hit so far, and has averaged about 20,000 viewers per live broadcast.

MAD Lions defeated MIBR 2-1 during the Flashpoint 1 Grand Final in April. The match captured 271,000+ concurrent viewers – a record for Flashpoint 1. Online viewership for Flashpoint 1 recorded over 7 million hours watched and was consistently ranked as a top 20 stream on Twitch during the spring series.

B Site also recently completed Pop Flash, the final event in the VALORANT Ignition Series for 2020 for North America on Aug 26-30 with Sentinels beating Envy for the $25,000 top prize. Pop Flash, produced in conjunction with FACEIT, featured B Site founding teams Cloud9, Dignitas, Team Envy, Gen.G, and Immortals along with Sentinels, T1 and TSM.
