AF Mystic: "I don’t think Urgot’s a good pick, but Kiin played the champion a couple of times during practice, so I trusted him."

On the 20th (KST), Afreeca Freecs faced off against Team Dynamics on day 4 of the 2020 LCK Summer split. With a set score of 2-1, AF took down DYN and defended their LCK veteran pride. Jin “Mystic” Seong-jun and Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil’s Ezreal’s matchup was the highlight of the series. In the end, the goddess of victory smiled for Mystic, as he was named Player of the Game (POG) for both the sets AF won.

Mystic joined the official broadcast for the post-match interview.

You continue to rack up POG points. How do you feel?

Because of the item, ‘Death’s Dance’, marksman champions became really strong. It feels good, and even better because I played well.

The Aphelios vs Ezreal matchup continues on in the LCK, and it looks as if Ezreal’s on the losing side.

I think both champions (Ezreal and Aphelios) have different power spikes. As long as you don’t fight Ezreal when he hits his power spike, Aphelios definitely feels stronger, given that both team comps have similar power levels.

A lot of people are talking about Spirit’s item build on Nidalee because of the various support items.

The teamfight that took place right after Spirit built the item, 'Mikael’s Crucible' seemed like it was going to be the last one. He saw that my Summoner spell, Cleanse, was down, so he went ahead and built it.

Kiin’s Urgot in game 3 was also highlighted.

I don’t think Urgot’s a good pick, but Kiin played the champion a couple of times during practice, so I trusted him.

Any words of resolution for your next match against T1?

We’re on a 2-match win streak. We’ll prepare well for it and make sure to win. However, I’m not sure whether or not I’ll be named POG for 6 games in a row though (laughter).
