London: Friday 1st May, 2020: Leading British esports organisation, Excel Esports is excited to welcome Fortnite superstar Jaden "Wolfiez" Ashman to its competitive roster as it cements its commitment to a second esports title. At only 16 years old, Wolfiez holds the Guinness World Record as the youngest person in esports history to win $1M at a single event and is the highest earner in UK esports history.

Wolfiez joins Excel as an ambitious powerhouse with a growing list of victories under his belt as well as top place finishes in both the Squads edition of the Fortnite Champion Series and Fortnite World Cup Duos where he took home $1m. With Excel Esports, Wolfiez will continue to participate in Fortnite tournaments while representing the organisation across his channels.

Excel Esports has been at the forefront of esports for many years curating top top-performing teams in League of Legends, one of the world's most popular esports. The organisation is one of the founding partners in the prestigious League of Legends European Championship and a participant in the Northern League of Legends Championship. Wolfiez signing marks a momentous occasion for the organisation as it expands its competitive edge to a second esport to further build on its esports legacy.

As an organisation, we have been carefully exploring expansion opportunities for a while and when we first met Wolfiez it just seemed like such a natural fit. Fortnite is one of the most-watched esports in the world and has seen immense growth over the last few years. Everyone at Excel Esports is really excited to get involved and work together with Wolfiez to show everyone the best of what British esports has to offer.” commented Kieran Holmes-Darby, Co-Founder and Chief Gaming Officer.

I’m really excited to be joining Excel Esports as their first-ever Fortnite player. I spoke to lots of different teams and really liked how Excel was doing things and thought they were the perfect fit. 2019 was such a massive year for me and I know with Excel’s support this year can be even bigger and better.” added Jaden "Wolfiez" Ashman.
