Riot Games has debuted another character for its upcoming tactical shooter VALORANT. SOVA was announced on the morning of Thursday, March 19, with a 30 second video showcasing the Russian agent's abilities via the official VALORANT twitter account.

Within the 20-odd seconds of gameplay in the video, SOVA can be shown setting up an aerial surveillance drone to assist him in reconnaissance and combat in the form of wallhacking. SOVA's optic enhancement on his right eye translates to an in-depth, precision-centric HUD for the player's first-person view in-game.

SOVA is also shown shooting a large sniper rifle as his trademark weapon, but possibly the most exciting and innovative part of his kit is the secondary weapon he is shown using. SOVA shoots a bow-like weapon, only, instead of a straight flying arrow, the head-heavy projectile lands on the ground in the distance and releases an EMP-like effect through the electronics of all opponents, making them easy targets for SOVA's deadeye aim.

Last week, Riot Games teased another VALORANT agent, VIPER, in a gameplay video. With a mid-2020 release looking all the more likely for VALORANT, expect more agent reveals in the coming weeks.
