On March 6th (KST), in the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split, Griffin faced kt Rolster in the last match of Round 1 before going on hiatus. In the battle between the two teams, KT was able to take the 2-1 victory, extending their winning streak to 4. KT jungler Kim “bonO” Gi-beom had good performances in this match and took a moment to answer a few questions.
You won the last game of Round 1. How do you feel?
If we won 2-0, we would have been in the top 5. That’s regretful. I think our performance wasn’t that bad, though.
How is it finishing Round 1?
It was a really hard time since we fell in a 5-game losing streak in the first half. The team atmosphere got better later on and I’m happy that we were able to hold a winning streak.
It really wouldn’t be easy to win 4 straight games after losing 5 straight. What’s the reason?
Even when we were on a losing streak, our performance wasn’t that bad, but the results weren’t coming in. We all said that we should empty our minds and start from the beginning. I think that’s the reason.
Your performance has been really good lately.
I also think that I’ve been doing quite well. The synergy and teamwork between our team have improved and we’re having a good roll, so I think I’m playing better than usual. My teammates told me that I’ve been doing well too.
During the 4-game winning streak, you were the one that led the team. Who do you think will lead when the season starts again?
Rather than just one person doing well, the most ideal way is everyone doing well alternatively.
Lastly, a word to the fans?
Thank you to those who cheer for us. We’ll be back in good shape when the season starts again. Thank you always.
