The League of Legends Pro League, the official Chinese competition for League of Legends, is drastically scaling up the number of games played per day. As reported by Chinese journalist Ran on Twitter, there will be three Best of 3's per day, every day of the week. The Spring Split commences on Monday, March 9th.

The adjusted schedule is a means to catch up on weeks of competition lost due to the coronavirus. After the outbreak earlier this year, the LPL decided to indefinitely cancel all planned competition until the safety of all competitors, fans and others involved could be guaranteed. After the Chinese government vouched to help the LPL out, the decision was made to continue the matches, albeit online.

Players will be competing from their teams' offices, and their health will be monitored closely. Each team will have its own on-site referee to help out in case of technical problems.
