This title is a modernized remastered edition that combines Dynasty Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends, which includes additional content, into a single package.
Utilizing Unreal Engine 5, the character models, lighting effects, and large-scale battlefield representations have been newly revamped. Featuring original content, expanded stories, and 'Challenge Mode,' the game offers over 40 officers, alongside new playable character 'Ziluan,' additional story missions, and sub-scenarios.
Combat introduces new mechanics such as 'Evasion,' 'Just Evasion Counterattack,' and 'Perfect Power Guard,' along with a 'Weapon Fusion system' that combines equipment attributes. Players can choose between 'Classic Settings' reflecting the original game's feel and modernized mechanism options, with offline two-player split-screen co-op and VS modes also supported.
Voiceovers support English, Japanese, and Chinese, while subtitles are provided in five languages, including Korean. The PlayStation 5 product was released as the Hong Kong version, and the Nintendo Switch 2 product as the North American version.
