NC's MMORPG 'AION 2', which launched its global early access on September 30, recorded a peak concurrent player count of 170,000 on Steam.
The global service for AION 2 is being conducted on PC game platforms Steam and PURPLE. Server regions are operated across four locations—North America, South America, Europe, and Japan in Asia—supporting eight languages, including English, Japanese, French, German, and Spanish.
According to SteamDB data, AION 2 reached a peak concurrent player count of 171,530 on Steam. As of October 1, over 100,000 players were actively playing the game on Steam. This figure accounts only for Steam users and does not include players on PURPLE, NC's proprietary platform where the game is also live.
Alongside the start of global early access, AION 2 also climbed to the top of Steam's sales charts. On September 30, it ranked #1 on Steam's global 'Top Sellers' chart and placed #1 in sales rankings across 12 countries, including the United States, France, Germany, Spain, and Brazil. Prior to launch, the game surpassed 1.3 million Steam wishlists.
Global early access is currently available to players who purchased a 'Founder's Pack'. Founder's Pack purchasers can play the game ahead of its official release, with NC scheduled to launch AION 2's official global service on October 5.
