Dplus KIA then scored an Ace in the ensuing bottom skirmish—the first teamfight of the game—to take a decisive lead.

KT Rolster stopped Dplus KIA from claiming their third dragon at the cost of Cho'Gath. However, after picking off KT's jungler, Dplus KIA rushed straight to Baron without hesitation and scored massively in the following teamfight by sweeping up one-sided kills. 'Smash' Sin Geum-jae's Jhin played a key role by rooting 'Bdd' Gwak Bo-seong's Syndra with Deadly Flourish. All outer towers across all lanes for KT Rolster fell.

Advancing down mid lane, Dplus KIA picked off 'Effort' Lee Sang-ho's Nautilus and destroyed the inhibitor. Pressing their numerical advantage, they kept pushing forward to catch Cho'Gath and Syndra as well. Trailing by over 10,000 gold, KT Rolster was helpless to overcome the numerical disadvantage.
