A new Water-attribute elemental infusion weapon, Spirit Blade: Snowstorm, has been officially released. Unlike Dark and Wind attributes, which had both an elemental infusion weapon and an Overload damage weapon released simultaneously, Spirit Blade: Snowstorm was launched on its own. Taking on the role of the specialized damage weapon to pair with Spirit Blade: Snowstorm is Skadi, while methods utilizing Orb of Alon, Winterfang, and others are also being actively researched.
As with other elemental infusion weapons, the core role of Spirit Blade: Snowstorm is to quickly induce Overload through heavy elemental infusion centered around its weapon skill. Another key feature of Spirit Blade: Snowstorm is its Freeze specialization; landing attacks with Freeze effects stacks a buff named "Accumulated Snow," granting increased Water elemental damage and increased weapon skill damage.
Spirit Blade: Snowstorm itself features Freeze effects on its weapon skill and Core Attack, and Skadi also has a Freeze effect on its second weapon skill, making it easy to build up buff stacks. Note that the condition is simply activating an attack that has a Freeze effect—the target does not actually need to be Frozen—meaning players receive the full benefit even when fighting bosses with Freeze immunity.
Additionally, upon Advancement, buffs that boost elemental infusion efficiency and Overload damage are added, and triggering Overload activates an empowered weapon skill called Glacial Fox Soul Slash. Finally, with extra buffs providing Defense Penetration as well as increasing Water-attribute Basic Skill damage and damage from skills with Freeze effects by 35% each, Spirit Blade: Snowstorm is highly likely to remain a mainstay main weapon in Water team compositions.

When it comes to combining skills and weapons, the variations are broader than expected. Put simply, you can equip Skadi, which received Overload-related buffs to complement it out of the box. You can use the Shadowless - Severance rune to boost elemental infusion speed, and additionally equip Armor Break - Iceberg, which offers great synergy thanks to its high base multiplier and Freeze effect despite being a Break skill, or Sonic Stream - Frozen Flow, a recently added skill rune.
There is also another setup attracting attention in actual combat. For partner weapons, Orb of Alon is taking the spotlight, as it yields higher overall damage output even when compared to the buffed Skadi.
For Basic Skills, even if Overload frequency drops slightly, some players rely solely on Spirit Blade: Snowstorm and Supporters for elemental infusion while equipping Sonic Stream - Frozen Flow and Vital Strike - Flowing Water Kick to pour out explosive burst damage all at once.
Since Water has a wide variety of viable skills and many types of damage-focused weapons, the consensus is that there is no single "definitive" combination yet. As the current top-tier content, Workshop of Brilliant Light - Hall of the Monarchs, opens next week, it is recommended to clear up to Tier 10 of the Workshop for now and conduct full-fledged build and composition research once the Hall opens.
