Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 23rd that it is holding the 'World Coin Festa' event to commemorate the second anniversary of the domestic launch of its sandbox platform, 'MapleStory Worlds.'

First, the 'World Coin Pang Pang Relay Event' will run until May 14, allowing users to earn World Coins by completing missions in 14 popular worlds within 'MapleStory Worlds.' The relay event will feature different worlds each week, including 'Mapleland,' 'Artale,' 'QPlay Archive,' 'Semo Expedition,' 'P-Maple Broa Server,' and 'PicTra Monster.' Users who visit the featured world each week and complete the event missions will receive 200 World Coins per mission.

In 'Mapleland,' users can earn World Coins by completing a triathlon; in 'Artale,' by collecting six types of maple leaves and solving quizzes; and in 'QPlay Archive,' by answering at least 25 questions correctly in the 'MapleStory Worlds' theme map quiz. In 'Semo Expedition,' 'P-Maple Broa Server,' and 'PicTra Monster,' users can earn coins by completing specific missions, such as clearing 'Chosen Seren' on beginner difficulty, experiencing 'Personal Dungeon: Pig Festival Forest,' and accumulating five daily mission rewards, respectively.

Events will also be held in the 'Maple Worlds Lab,' where users can enjoy original worlds before their official release. Until May 7, players can experience 'Maple Blockbuster,' an MMORPG with added crafting elements; 'Shoot or Die,' a horror game that maximizes survival tension; and 'Infinity Rise,' an exploration-based hardcore action RPG. Completing designated event missions in these games will grant raffle tickets that can be used to earn World Coins.

'MapleStory Worlds' is a sandbox creation platform that allows anyone to create, share, and play their own worlds using the vast resources of Nexon's flagship IP, 'MapleStory.' Since its official domestic launch in April 2024, the service has expanded to 197 countries, including those in North America, Europe, and Asia. As of 2025, it has reached 7 million cumulative global users and generated ₩50.2 billion in annual creator revenue, building a stable creative ecosystem where the platform and creators thrive together.
