Line Games (Co-CEOs Cho Dong-hyun and Bae Young-jin) announced on the 17th that its board of directors has appointed current CEO Cho Dong-hyun and former Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Bae Young-jin as the company's new co-CEOs. Through this co-leadership structure, Line Games plans to elevate its global competitiveness in the gaming business and focus on strengthening organizational capabilities to respond more agilely to the changing market environment.

Co-CEO Cho Dong-hyun graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in electrical engineering and previously served as a development director and head of the new business division at Nexon Korea. In 2014, he founded the game development studio Super Awesome, where he proved his management capabilities by successfully leading various projects, including 'Hello Kitty Friends.'

He joined Line Games as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2023, where he led the successful launch and market stabilization of 'The Play of Genesis Mobile.' Based on this performance, he was appointed co-CEO in March 2024 and has since been driving the advancement of strategies across the company's gaming business.

Co-CEO Bae Young-jin is an investment expert who graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in business administration. He previously worked at PIA PE and the investment division of Nexon. He later gained management experience by founding the game company Mobil Factory and served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Line Games until 2023.

More recently, he has continued to build his expertise in the investment sector by founding and operating Tail Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in early-stage medical and healthcare investments.

With the launch of its new co-leadership structure, Line Games is accelerating efforts to strengthen its business competitiveness. The company plans to refine its lineup strategy to fully implement a fast-paced, multi-title development system and increase the proportion of PC titles targeting the global market.

Through this, the company plans to unveil at least three new PC titles within the year, led by 'Amber and Blade,' which is gaining attention as a highly anticipated global release. In the mobile sector, it will accelerate its global expansion through the launch of 'Uncharted Waters Origin' in China and the global release of 'The Play of Genesis Mobile.'

Meanwhile, the company also plans to further accelerate its mobile multi-title strategy, which began with 'Fairy Tale Quest' and 'Animal Busters.' The goal is to consistently introduce fresh new titles that are not limited to any specific genre.
