TSM refused to be satisfied with a top 4 finish in the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs, and defined the off-season right from the start in bringing Doublelift back into the fold of the baylife banner. The resulting ripple effect has led to a tumultuous couple of weeks for TSM, but if the team can win its first LCS championship since Doublelift was last on the squad - 2017 NA LCS Summer - it may once again solidify itself as the most decorated organization in North American LoL history.

TSM released former AD Carry, Kobbe, who signed with Misfits Gaming to start for the team in the Summer 2020 League of Legends European Championship. With the transfer, Misfits also announces former AD Carry Bvoy's departure from the team. Read more on the story here.
Leena Xu, President of esports organization TSM, faces controversy after screenshots from the team's Discord were used in a video by Duncan "Thorin" Shields. In one screenshot, Xu claims to have attempted to approach many players from Europe on behalf of TSM, and that the players she approached were under contract at the time of her reaching out. Inven Global has confirmed with a source close to the situation that organizations across the globe often go unpunished for the ways in which they circumnavigate certain rules when seeking to sign a player.
Concerns regarding conflicts of interest were brought up regarding the trade due to the Doublelift's history with TSM, but an LCS investigation led to the acquisition's approval when no conflicts of interest were discovered in the AD Carry's most recent move.
ESPN Esports' Jacob Wolf has reported that Team Liquid AD Carry Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng will be heading back to his former organization TSM. TL put Doublelift on the trading block last week after the team finished in 9th place this spring after four consecutive League of Legends Championship Series championships.

C9 is not the only team qualified for the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs, it also definitively locked in a specific seed (1st) before any other teams have had the chance to punch their respective post-season tickets.
