Team Liquid had an interesting 2020, ending in yet another 3-3 run at Worlds. The team kept most of their roster, but they're making two key changes this off-season. Here is the official confirmed 2021 Liquid roster:
UPDATE 11/30: TSM has confirmed its signing of Huni, which was reported to be complete by Esportmaniacos' Pablo "Bloop" Suárez shortly before the confirmation. TSM is reportedly promoting Academy Lost, which would complete the roster.
After the 2020 season, Team Liquid announced the departure of much of their coaching staff. Now they're announcing two new members to their staff, Spawn and Kold, with Yaltz moving up to head analyst. Check out their completed staff here:
Riot Games has launched their players straight into the pre-season with Patch 10.23. Not even two days have passed since the pre-season went live and Riot is already updating the game, launching a hotfix for items and champs. Read about the changes here:
UPDATE 10/20: Mark "RiotScruffy" Yetter has Tweeted changes coming to League of Legends in Patch 10.22 that he claims are 'not 100% locked but pretty close. In addition, it was confirmed in another Tweet that a bug affecting Kindred's Mark of the Kindred passive would be fixed in 10.22.
The most recent League patch was directly aimed at changing and balancing gameplay at the professional level, and there is guaranteed to be more diversity in the Playoffs starting up now. Read more on what to expect in the meta here:
The Riot Games dev team has been hard at work, and they just announced the next champion VGU - Dr. Mundo - which will go live in 2021. Read more on their efforts and Dr. Mundo's timeline here.
In Riot Games' most recent update to the Champion Roadmap for June 2020, it was confirmed by Lead Champion Producer Ryan 'Reav3' Mireles that three new champions would be hitting Summoner's Rift in the near future.
Solo has joined FlyQuest as an assistant coach and reserve for their Academy team. Solo was most recently on Echo Fox, which left Solo without a team this off-season. He joins former coaches from his original LCS team, Clutch Gaming. Read more here:
