PVB Zeros: "I believe we can definitely grow off more from the experience we got this year. We will try our hardest to be here at Worlds again next year. "

On the 15th (KST), Phong Vũ Buffalo was defeated by G2 Esports and Afreeca Freecs. Despite beating Flash Wolves, Phong Vũ Buffalos was unable to qualify for the quarterfinals.

Phong Vũ Buffalo has made one hell of a run. Coming from Vietnam, Buffalos has proven that even a small region can make it through groups and contest against some of the best teams in the world. Despite their short run at Worlds, Phong Vũ Buffalo has gained some much needed experience to grow even further.

After the games, we got to meet and talk with Phong Vũ Buffalo’s top laner, Zeros. Below are the interview responses.

¤ How do you guys feel about the overall result today?

I feel really down right now. It is unfortunate that it went the way it did today. We could have done a lot more. But in the end, the result is still a step forward for the team.

¤ This is your first time at Worlds and it must have been an honor representing Vietnam. What did coming here and playing mean for you?

I was worried every night before coming on stage and playing the games. Since Worlds is such a huge tournament, I was constantly stressed due to the gravity of the games. I am very sad and depressed that I let my Vietnamese fans down.

¤ Coming to Worlds is by far the best experience a player can ask for. Which player or team did you find the most helpful to learn from?

I learned the most from Afreeca Freecs’s top laner, Kiin. Kiin helped me gain a lot of experience. Since Kiin is one of the highest ranking top laners in his region, I was very excited to have the opportunity to play against him.

¤ Would you say you look up to Kiin the most out of all the top laners who came to Worlds?

I usually watch VODs from streams and other sources to learn from a variety of players. Due to time differences and other factors, it is hard for me to specifically follow a particular player.

¤ What does this mean for Buffalos going forward? What is next for Buffalos?

I believe we can definitely grow off more from the experience we got this year. We will try our hardest to be here at Worlds again next year. Next time, I will not let the people who have supported me down.

¤ Lastly, anything you want to say to your fans, friends, and family?

I want to thank everyone who has supported me up to this point. It is unfortunate that a lot of people really trusted me, but I let them down. I feel really bad about it. I will grow and be stronger to be here next year and prove to everyone that I belong at Worlds.
