EVS Stark: "Besides Korea and China, I think we can beat the rest"

EVOS Esports showed the world exactly what they're capable of.

In Berlin Germany, the 2018 League of Legends MSI Play-In Stage took place. On its very first round, Vietnam's EVOS Esports took down Turkey's SuperMassive and secured their ticket to Groups.

On today's match, the player to focus on was YiJin, EVS' jungler. However, Stark made many impressive plays in both games 1 and 4, creating perfect opportunities for EVS to take the lead and win.

After the match, Stark was invited for a post-match interview.

This is the first time we had Vietnam as a separate region coming into an international event. What does it mean to you to take Vietnam into Groups?

Stark: When Vietnam became an independent region, it gave us a bigger chance to go deeper into international tournaments. There will be more competition so we'll have to try harder. But at the same time, we're given more sponsors and better facility, so it'll make us better.

What is it about EVS that made you come back to League of Legends?

Stark: After I left GAM, I went back to school. But then, Slay asked me if I wanted to join a team. I then felt that I haven't shown the world enough of me, so I came back to show more.

How far do you think you can go here in the MSI?

Stark: Right now, I don't think we're too close to the major regions. But if we try hard, I think we can reach top 4.

Which major region would you have to beat in order to become that said top 4?

Stark: Besides Korea and China, I think we can beat the rest.
