Three LPL players and 35 LDL players, managers, and coaches have been issued various punishments, from suspensions to lifetime bans. In the LPL, FPX jungler Zhou "Bo" Yang-Bo and ThunderTalk's support Wang "Teeen" Yao-Ji have been issued four-month suspensions. Another ThunderTalk player, jungler Xiang "bless" Yi-Tong has received a 12-month suspension.
Things are much more serious in the LDL. The entire roster of Sheng Jie Gaming has been disqualified from the LDL, with its players receiving various suspensions, the longest of which being the lifetime ban of top lane Wang "Spunk" Zhi-Peng. Alongside Spunk, 11 more players, coaches, and managers were given lifetime bans.
The case of FPX Bo was a turning point in the match-fixing story in the LPL and the LDL. The aspiring jungler came out on Feb. 22 with an admission that he was coerced into match-fixing during his time on the LDL, adding a high-profile story to the list of match-fixers, which previously also included the LDL team of Rogue Warriors Sharks and several LGD Gaming members.
Today, Bo also issued an official apology, saying he's "spent this past period of time regretting and suffering, and not knowing how I should face everyone" (translation courtesy of iCrystalization.
