[LCK Today] T1 takes the 2:1 victory over DRX, HLE ends their regular split run with a victory

On the 23rd (KST), the very last day of the 2020 LCK Summer regular split took place. T1 managed to defeat DRX 2:1, while Hanwha Life Esports managed to secure their 9th place in the standings by defeating Team Dynamics 2:1.

The first game between T1 and DRX was very even throughout. A teamfight in front of the dragon pit was the turning point of the game, as T1 managed to ace DRX with all five of their members standings. Despite DRX managing to take the dragon in the teamfight, the mid laner for T1, Clozer, managed to successfully pull DRX’s aggro and led his team to victory.

Faker was subbed back in for game 2. On Galio, his global presence was on par with Chovy’s Twisted Fate. However, despite T1’s attempts at getting ahead, DRX managed to overpower T1 and tied up the series 1:1.

T1 subbed back in Clozer for game 3. T1 managed to take out Pyosik’s Lee Sin and Keria’s Leona with two teleports used in the bot lane to defend against DRX’s early dive. Canna also managed to solo kill Doran in the top lane, and the advantages from around the map created a snowball that was unable to be topped. With tight macro coming from T1, they managed to take the victory and end their regular split run with a victory.

In the second series of the day, HLE defeated Team Dynamics 2:1, and secured their 2nd victory of the split. There were a lot of messy skirmishes right from the get-go. As the battles ensued on, a huge teamfight victory came through in favor of DYN. A decisive smite from Beyond and consistent damage from Deokdam led their team to victory.

HLE’s mid laner, Mireu, was all over the map in game 2. On Sylas, he was able to completely shut down Rich’s Irelia. While Deokdam was able to stall out the game, the global gold lead was too much for DYN to handle, tying up the series 1:1.

Game 3 was, again, all about Mireu. With dragon soul being picked up by HLE at the 23 minute mark, they were able to steamroll through mid lane to finish the game at 25 minutes.
