Pokémon Korea (CEO Lim Jae-beom) announced that the TV anime 'Pokémon: Rising Again' will premiere today at 7:00 PM on JEI TV.
'Pokémon: Rising Again' is the seventh part of the 'Pokémon Horizons: The Series' (2023). The story begins with training at the 'Blueberry Academy,' a trainer school located in the Unova region's sea area that specializes in double battles, unfolding into an even more diverse and exciting adventure.
The series will air every Tuesday at 7:00 PM on JEI TV, offering viewers an expanded world and new Pokémon. Additionally, starting at 6:00 PM today, the opening theme song 'Orbit of Fragments' and the ending theme song 'Steps of Tomorrow,' produced in collaboration with KT Genie Music, will be released on major music platforms including Genie, Melon, Spotify, and Apple Music.
The theme song has been highly anticipated even before its release, featuring contributions from Ahn Tae-gyu of the four-piece rock band Dragon Pony—a group of singer-songwriters with exceptional instrumental skills—and Lee Hyun of the polished idol group Baby DONT Cry, known for their innocent visuals and powerful performances.
'Orbit of Fragments' is a rock-genre opening theme featuring Dragon Pony leader Ahn Tae-gyu, capturing the energy of embarking on an adventure through cool guitar riffs and a dynamic band sound. 'Steps of Tomorrow' is the ending theme sung by Baby DONT Cry's main vocalist, Lee Hyun; it combines a bright yet lyrical sound with a hopeful message to express the excitement of Rico and their companions' journey toward the future.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the release of the 'Pokémon: Rising Again' OST, promotional events featuring Pokémon merchandise will be held on major music platforms Genie and Melon. Further details can be found on the official website.
