KRAFTON CEO Kim Chang-han met with Indian Senator Sujeet Kumar to discuss the development of India's gaming ecosystem and the role of the gaming industry within the digital economy.

KRAFTON India shared the news via its official social media channels on the 20th. CEO Kim and Son Hyun-il, head of KRAFTON India, attended the meeting to engage in close dialogue with local political leadership.
Senator Sujeet Kumar assessed that India's gaming ecosystem has entered a period of high growth, driven by a young, tech-savvy population and the expansion of digital infrastructure. "India has the potential to emerge as a global hub for gaming, esports, and digital content creation," Kumar stated.
KRAFTON also agreed that India is a strategic focal point that will lead the future of global game development, moving beyond its role as a large-scale consumer market. CEO Kim spoke highly of India's talent, infrastructure, and creative potential, emphasizing that the country remains a top priority in KRAFTON's long-term strategy.
KRAFTON plans to continue its investments to build a local ecosystem in India. In particular, the company is focusing on supporting local developers and strengthening the industry's foundation through initiatives such as the 'KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI).'
Furthermore, the company is fully committed to developing 'India-first IPs' that can be scaled to target global audiences. KRAFTON explained that the discussion helped build a shared understanding of the strategic importance of the gaming industry, noting that opportunities are open for India to move beyond simple growth and exercise global leadership.
Meanwhile, CEO Kim Chang-han is scheduled to accompany President Lee Jae-myung on his state visit to India to discuss practical measures for bilateral cooperation.
