Pearl Abyss has released a 'Developer Note' on its official website detailing upcoming updates for 'Crimson Desert.'
The core of this update note focuses on: ▲ new content to provide an expanded gameplay experience in Crimson Desert, and ▲ plans to improve accessibility and gameplay based on feedback from global users.
First, new content and features will be added to allow users to further experience the thrill of combat in Crimson Desert through fresh challenges.
Through the 'Boss Replay (tentative name)' feature, users can challenge memorable bosses encountered across the continent of Pywel using various strategies. Additionally, 'Re-blockade (tentative name)' will allow players to relive the exhilarating multi-on-one combat of base liberation and test their own combat skills.
A difficulty setting feature will also be introduced, catering not only to users seeking intense, high-stakes combat but also to those who may find certain battles challenging.
Crimson Desert continues to incorporate feedback from its global player base. The 'Precision Strike' and 'Power of Providence' skills, previously exclusive to Kliff, will be added to characters 'Demian' and 'Ungka,' tailored to their unique combat styles.
New character outfits will be added to expand the range of visual customization. Existing outfits that were previously only available for sale or donation will be updated to be wearable, increasing their utility.
Furthermore, new pets and mounts will be added to enhance the joy of open-world exploration. Beyond horse armor, dedicated armor for other mounts will be introduced, allowing players to customize their companions according to their personal preferences.
A preview of the continent of Pywel with improved long-distance graphical quality was also revealed. The quality of distant landscapes will be significantly enhanced, allowing players to enjoy the beauty of the continent with greater depth.

In addition, the team plans to improve exploration convenience and overall gameplay quality by: ▶ expanding keyboard and mouse setting ranges and allowing customization of certain gamepad buttons; ▶ adding dedicated storage for specific items such as outfits, gathered materials, quest items, and recipes; and ▶ adding a feature to hide weapons equipped on the back.
The release of the official Crimson Desert OST was also announced. Players will be able to enjoy the game's emotional resonance in their daily lives via a free Steam soundtrack DLC and global music platforms. Updates will be rolled out sequentially from April through June.
In the developer note, Pearl Abyss stated, "Listening to your voices, contemplating the direction for a better play experience, and making improvements one by one has been a meaningful and valuable process. Based on your precious feedback, we are carefully preparing a variety of end-game content and new features to ensure you can experience even deeper challenges and enjoyment."
