Best Loadout for the CARV.2 Tactical Rifle in Warzone Season 3

Source: Activision Blizzard

The brand new three-round-burst CARV.2 tactical rifle was released for Warzone and Coldwar on Thursday. The new gun is built to be a jack of all trades rifle that can excel in a variety of circumstances and at a variety of ranges. Its versatility and very fast time to kill make it a top-tier rifle with meta-defining potential.

For those who are looking to try out the new tactical rifle, here is our guide to the best attachments for the new CARV.2 Tactical Rifle in Warzone Season 3!

Overview to the CARV.2 Tactical Rifle

Based on initial testing, the base model of the CARV.2 can kill an enemy in eight shots. So unless you hit a headshot in there, it will require three bursts at the minimum to down an enemy in Warzone. The damage model on this rifle is lower than both the M16 and the AUG, so you won't be picking up this gun because of its bullet damage.

However, the burst delay is much lower than the M16 and Aug at just over under 150MS. The lower burst delay more than makes up for its lower damage model. When you account for the fast rate of fire, this weapon ends up having a faster time to kill than both the M16 and the AUG, which are both guns that have dominated the meta at one time or another.

As an added bonus, upon initial release, this gun doesn't appear to have any damage fall off. In the past, Raven Software has added damage fall off to weapons after their release, so the unlimited ranged damage might not stick around, but for now, you will deal the same base damage regardless of how far from the target you are.

Best attachments to use on the CARV.2 Tactical Rifle in Warzone

  • SUSAT Multizoom
  • Agency Silencer
  • Field Agent Foregrip
  • 22.3" Calvary Lancer
  • 45 Rnd Speed magazine

SUSAT Multizoom

Optics-wise, the SUSAT Multizoom is a good option since it minimizes your visual recoil, making it easier to line up follow-up shots. Truth be told, you can use whatever sight works best for you personally. You will always perform best with a scope that you enjoy using.

Agency Silencer

The Agency Silencer will suppress your sound and reduce your verticle recoil. One of the biggest drawbacks to using this weapon is its high levels of vertical recoil, so the recoil reduction alone make this a great attachment for the CARV.2 rifle. The silencer will reduce your Aim Down Sight speed slightly, but that isn't a big deal since you will primarily be using this gun at medium to longer ranges.

Field Agent Foregrip

Speaking of recoil, the Field Agent Foregrip is a must on this gun. This attachment reduces your vertical and horizontal recoil. This foregrip offers a significant range buff by making it easier to control this weapon's aggressive recoil pattern.

22.3" Calvary Lancer barrel

The 22.3" Calvary Lancer is a good barrel for the CARV.2 because it gives you the highest bullet velocity out of any of the barrel options for this rifle. While it lists vehicle damage as a buff, the Calvary Lancer actually brings a nice bonus to your bullet velocity instead.

45 Rnd Speed Magazine

The 45 Rnd Speed Magazine increases both your ammo capacity and your reload speed. So you get the extra 15 bullets and it takes less time to reload, with the only drawback being that it will slightly increase your Aim Down Sight time. If you don't want to sacrifice the ADS speed, you could always run the 45 Rnd Drum magazine instead. But if you are using the CARV.2 rifle at longer ranges, a slight increase to your ADS speed isn't the end of the world.

Using this weapon loadout, the CARV.2 can instantly down enemies at medium and long ranges. It's still pretty early into this gun's release, but early signs indicate the CARV.2 tactical rifle may soon top the meta in Warzone Season 3.
