Ahead of the release of Hearthstone's next expansion, Voyage to the Sunken City, on Tuesday the Hearthstone development team decided to throw a party to celebrate the occasion.

Held on the game's official Twitch account, tens of thousands of players, community members, and concert-goers attended to watch...crabs.

Titled "Crab Rave" the event took classic Hearthstone songs and remixed them with a dubstep flair as dozens of crabs of all shapes and sizes partied in the audience.

First beginning at 9 a.m. PT and lasting a few hours, Hearthstone players hopped into the stream as Twitch Drops and Hearthstone bundle codes were tossed out in the chat by Blizzard employees and content creators to raise excitement for the expansion.

▲ Glow stick crab became a fan favorite.

On the stream itself, a looping animated video gave players something to watch while they listened to the beats and waited for their opportunity to snatch up a bundle code from the chat. Anyone who had the stream on for an hour or more received one Voyage to the Sunken City card pack via Twitch Drops.

The 135-card set is scheduled to go live on Tuesday and features mechanics and keywords new to the collectible card game such as Colossal and Dredge.
