The 2026 LCK Cup enters a pivotal phase this week as Super Week arrives with both groups locked in a 10–10 deadlock, setting up a stretch of matches that could decisively reshape the tournament standings.

Riot Games confirmed that Week 3 of the 2026 LCK Cup will run from Wednesday, Jan. 28, through Sunday, Feb. 1, at Chijijik LoL Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The event is part of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Cup, an early-season competition featuring the league’s 10 teams split into the Baron and Elder groups.

Super Week introduces a higher-stakes format. Teams face opponents from the opposite group with the same seed in best-of-five series, and each victory is worth two points rather than the standard one. The top two groups by total points advance directly to the playoffs, while the lowest-ranked losing group is eliminated from contention.

With both groups evenly matched through two weeks of play, Super Week outcomes are expected to serve as a turning point. Even a single upset from a lower-seeded matchup could swing the overall balance.

2026 LCK Cup – Week 3 Preview

The headline matchup of the week arrives Sunday, when Baron Group leader Gen.G meets Elder Group leader Hanwha Life Esports. Gen.G is undefeated at 4–0 with a commanding set differential, while Hanwha Life Esports rebounded from a slow start to finish Week 2 at 2–2. The clash renews interest in Hanwha Life Esports’ strong track record in best-of-five series during last year’s cup run.

Another marquee series pits second seeds T1 and Dplus KIA against each other. T1 remains unbeaten and has historically performed well in extended series, while Dplus KIA enters seeking its first LCK win over T1 since the 2025 LCK Cup.

Lower-seeded matchups also carry outsized importance. The opening series between OKSavingsBank BRION and DRX, followed by DN Freecs versus BNK FearX, could provide early momentum that influences the entire week.

Individually, T1 bottom laner Kim Su-hwan, known as “Gumayusi,” was named Week 2’s Gold King after leading a comeback win and posting the highest average gold earned among eligible players. Week 3 matches will be broadcast live on Chijijik and SOOP, with on-site tickets available beginning 48 hours before each match.
