The 2025 LCK Awards will take place on Dec. 19 at the CJ ENM Center in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul, organizers announced. The ceremony will recognize the top teams and players from the 2025 season of the League of Legends Champions Korea, the country’s premier professional esports league.
The league’s operator, Riot Games, confirmed that the event will once again serve as the official year-end celebration for the LCK competitive season. Major honors include Player of the Year, as well as positional awards for top laner, jungler, mid laner, bot laner and support. Additional awards will also be presented for regular season MVP, Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year and the All-LCK First Team. Several sponsor-backed honors are scheduled as well.
Gen.G and T1 headline a season defined by contrasts
This year’s awards race is widely expected to center on two organizations: Gen.G and T1. The 2025 season marked the LCK’s first year under a single-season format, producing one annual champion instead of multiple seasonal winners.
Gen.G emerged as the inaugural champion under the new structure after a dominant run that included only one loss across the 30-match regular season and a single defeat in the playoffs. The team followed up its domestic success with victories at the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup, before finishing its international campaign with a semifinal appearance at the year’s biggest event.
T1’s 2025 narrative unfolded differently. After placing third in the regular season and exiting the LCK playoffs in the lower bracket, the team entered the League of Legends World Championship as a lower seed. Despite an uneven start, T1 rallied through the knockout stage and captured its third consecutive world title, becoming the first organization in League of Legends history to achieve a championship three-peat.
The LCK said tickets for the awards will be distributed through official social media promotions, with details to be announced at a later date. The ceremony will be streamed live across multiple platforms, including the league’s YouTube channel and domestic streaming services.
LCK Secretary General Lee Jung-hoon said the 2025 season reflected both heightened competition and strong fan engagement, adding that the awards ceremony is intended to serve as a year-end celebration for teams, partners and supporters alike.
