Global esports organization T1 will open its second next-generation PC café and fan hub, T1 BASE CAMP, on Dec. 12 in Haeundae, Busan. The venue expands on the company’s first location in Seoul’s Hongdae district, offering a hybrid space for gaming, events and community engagement.
T1 describes BASE CAMP as a multi-use entertainment concept designed to merge the organization’s brand identity with a broad suite of esports-focused experiences. The company said the venue is intended to serve as a gathering point for fans and a dedicated space for both competitive and casual players. The name “BASE CAMP” reflects a shared home for supporters, while the internal abbreviation “TBC” echoes the organization’s ongoing approach to innovation.
T1 BASE CAMP TO OPEN SECOND LOCATION IN BUSAN ON DECEMBER 12
The new location sits along Busan’s Gunam-ro, one of the city’s busiest entertainment corridors and a longstanding center of Korea’s esports culture. T1 said the expansion represents an effort to reach fans beyond the Seoul metro area and build a nationwide footprint.
Unlike the open layout of the Hongdae branch, the Busan venue uses a circular “Fortress” design meant to encourage movement throughout the space. The interior combines T1’s black-and-red colors with futuristic white lighting elements and exhibits celebrating the organization’s competitive history.

Several features debuting in Busan are new to the BASE CAMP concept, including Korea’s first esports-themed T1 PUB. The lounge will offer large screens for match viewing, as well as food and drinks inspired by T1 players. Other additions include an expanded T1 Arena now supporting 6v6 play for tournaments and viewing events, a sim-racing attraction called T1 Racing, and T1 CUBE, a flexible zone for exhibitions and interactive programs.
T1 will also integrate training and amateur development initiatives through the T1 Esports Academy. The company plans to host local tournaments, workshops and tryouts for its developmental “third team,” positioning the venue as both a fan destination and a talent pipeline.
“T1 BASE CAMP Busan is more than just an offline venue,” said Josh Ahn, COO of T1. “It is a new type of esports hub where fans can gather, play, watch matches, and connect through T1’s content and culture.”
The facility partially opened on Oct. 14 with the launch of the T1 PUB and shop. A soft-opening period begins Dec. 10 ahead of the full grand opening on Dec. 12.
