Great news for Black Desert players who enjoy bartering: new Tier 6 and 7 trade routes have been added, connecting major ports across each continent. While these new routes are easier to manage, they offer higher profits than before. To preserve the core experience of planning and navigating your own trade routes, however, trade goods can no longer be transported.

To help newcomers, the weight of Tier 2 trade goods has been significantly reduced from 800 LT to 400 LT. The minimum exchange quantities for lower-tier barters have been increased, and the barter negotiation energy cost has been lowered to balance the new routes. Additionally, the interaction distance for the barter button near trade NPCs has been increased by 20% to improve convenience.

The fog around Crow's Nest has lifted, and bartering for Crow Coins is now available. You can now exchange Crow Coins at Crow's Nest instead of Hakoven Island. By handing 10 Balenos Meals to Anax, the wharf manager at Crow's Nest, you can also obtain knowledge of the island's terrain.

The new Tier 6–7 trade routes include: Dallae Ferry and Haemo Island in the Land of the Morning Light; Grándiha, Deep Night Port, and Oquilla's Eye in Kamasylvia; Hakoven Island and Arehaza Town in Valencia; and Iliya Island, Lerao Island, Olvia Coast, Epheria Ridge, Stonetail Wasteland, and the Soldier's Grave wharf. Tier 6 goods sell for 50 million silver, while Tier 7 goods sell for 100 million silver.

The Altar of Blood, where a party of three works together to protect a relic, has been renewed. Considering the current maximum attack power of 395, the content now features up to 21 stages. As the attack power cap increases in the future, higher stages will be opened sequentially. When forming a party for the Altar of Blood, the maximum difficulty the party can challenge is determined by the lowest stage record among its members. If a party exhausts all five challenge attempts, they will be automatically removed from the Altar of Blood.

Resurrection is not possible within the Altar of Blood, and experience points cannot be gained. All characters are revived and their HP restored upon clearing or failing a stage. Weekly rewards based on your records are delivered to the Black Spirit's Safe every Sunday at 00:00. For the 21st stage, the initial guaranteed reward includes a Brilliant Origin of Predation, Essence, and a Gold Bar Box, with additional chances to obtain more Gold Bar Boxes or Brilliant Origins of Predation and Essence.

There is also good news for anglers. Koi have begun appearing at Gyeonghoeru Pavilion. Furthermore, the appearance rate of Koi in other inland waters has increased by approximately 10.2 times, and the appearance rate of Polka-dot Stingrays in certain Edania lakes has increased by about 1.2 times. These changes are expected to make both knowledge gathering and weekly fishing tournaments more engaging.

As predicted by the wallpaper, the tag rotation has been set to Drakania and Guardian. Item tagging is available for 1 silver, and this discounted rate will remain in effect until the maintenance on May 6. Since there were no new images on the wallpaper page, it has become difficult to predict the next tag classes.

Enrollment for the second term of the Olvian Academy has begun. Graduates of the first term cannot obtain the term title or the Academia outfit box again; these are only available as pass rewards. Enrollment for the second term runs until Wednesday, July 8, and the quest period begins on Thursday, April 16, the day after maintenance. First-term graduates can also participate in the lecture quests upon re-enrolling.

Players can once again obtain the special donkey previously offered once per family for the Shai class. If you have a level 20 Shai, you can complete this quest once per family by speaking to the donkey trainer Radina in front of Florin. As a reward, you can choose one of three donkeys: Derome, Sharoz, or Bellet.

In time for the start of the second term of the Olvian Academy and the warming weather, new varsity-style outfits have arrived. The 'Rookies' set, which includes a thick hoodie and a cap, is available for all classes and is currently on sale for 450 Pearls. You can hide the cape or remove the face guard to customize the look to your liking.
