Cleanup crews, prepare your pressure washers. Developer Brightrock Games and publisher Mythwright have announced that their upcoming title Kaiju Cleanup has surpassed 100,000 Steam wishlists in under a month, marking a major milestone for both studios. The achievement makes it the fastest Mythwright-published title to reach the six-figure wishlist mark, underscoring the game’s viral appeal among sim fans and Kaiju enthusiasts alike.
Originally revealed in late September, Kaiju Cleanup combines cozy simulator gameplay with over-the-top monster aftermaths. Players take on the role of cleanup specialists tasked with scrubbing, slicing, and vacuuming the remains of fallen Kaiju after city-leveling battles. The game mixes meditative cleaning mechanics with grotesque but playful monster-disposal tasks, from extracting bio-matter with industrial claws to washing away toxic sludge.
A Clean Sweep for Brightrock and Mythwright
Players can upgrade tools, vehicles, and outfits while exploring ruined cityscapes filled with lore and hidden audio logs. As the game progresses, the cleanup crew’s scrappy operation—KaijuCorp—grows into Earth’s leading post-monster recovery service. Brightrock Games, known for its creativity in simulation and management genres, aims to balance dark humor with an oddly relaxing experience.

“We’re all so excited by the community’s reaction to Kaiju Cleanup,” said Stuart Morton, Publishing Director at Mythwright. “Who knew mopping up monster guts could be quite so popular? Mixing a familiar, satisfying genre with classic Kaiju chaos has created something we can’t wait to show more of.”
Kaiju Cleanup is currently in development for PC, with a public playtest planned for the near future. Fans can wishlist the game on Steam and follow updates on Mythwright’s official channels, including TikTok, X, Bluesky, and Instagram. For those eager to roll up their sleeves, the developers promise that cleaning up after monsters has never been this satisfying—or this messy.
