Red Sea Global Strikes Landmark Three-Year Sponsorship Deal With Esports Powerhouse T1

T1 announced that it has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with Saudi Arabia’s premier luxury tourism developer, Red Sea Global (RSG). This landmark partnership was formalized at the “Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 2025)” held in Riyadh—making RSG the first tourism developer ever to enter into such a major agreement with a global esports organization. The sponsorship was arranged by CAA, T1’s exclusive commercial agency.

T1 is South Korea’s flagship esports organization, boasting championship titles in numerous domestic and international tournaments. Notably, the team won the inaugural League of Legends title at the 2024 Esports World Cup in Riyadh under the leadership of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. In addition to League of Legends, T1 fields rosters in Valorant, EA SPORTS FC Online, Overwatch 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Tekken 8.

Raed Albasseet, Group Chief Environment & Sustainability Officer at Red Sea Global, noted that esports is experiencing rapid expansion—now counting hundreds of millions of fans around the globe. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia is wholeheartedly embracing this surge, and said the collaboration will both unlock new markets and deepen connections with the existing audience. He added that they anticipate valuable synergies that mirror T1’s dedication to innovation and excellence.

According to market-research firms, global esports viewership is projected to reach approximately 604.08 million in 2025—of which 318.1 million are core, highly engaged fans, and 322.7 million are occasional viewers. Under the new sponsorship, the RSG logo will appear prominently on the front of T1’s official jerseys and serve as the presenting sponsor for key content on T1’s YouTube channel (1.56 million subscribers as of July 2025). This agreement is also expected to bolster Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a global hub for sports, entertainment, and innovation.

Josh Woongki Ahn, Chief Operating Officer of T1, added that while T1 works to bolster its global competitiveness, Red Sea Global is establishing world-class benchmarks in luxury living and regenerative tourism. He noted that both organizations are united by values of excellence, precision, and performance, and together they will concentrate on providing an enhanced fan experience worldwide.
