NA Rep Round Table - Group of BDO NA Players hold a Conference Call with Kakao

A group of Black Desert Online NA players came together, and had a conference call with Kakao Games regarding different in-game issues. The conference call was not only limited to the server issues and disconnections, which have been on-going problems for several months in the NA/EU server, but also included Node/Conquest War balancing, Life Skill improvements, PvE, and game mechanics. Representatives of different topics gathered at the conference call, and gave Kakao Games suggestions and feedback regarding the current state of the game.

The topics that were discussed during the conference call ranged from server instability to Life Skills. The suggestions for the game included Node/Conquest War changes, an AFK channel for AFK Life Skill players, more rewards from party grinding and high level monsters, more ways of obtaining Hards, Shards, and Memory Fragments other than events, more rewards from high level Life Skills, and many other improvements for the game.

The player-base opinion about the conference call is somewhat divided. Some players agree with the suggestions that were made during the conference call, while other players do not agree with all of them. Also, some players pointed out that the conference call was organized by the NA community and primarily focused on the NA server, and did not include many opinions from other regions including EU.

Ozpin, the NA player who organized the conference call with Kakao, left a note saying that as Pearl Abyss is seeking to build BDO as a “global single-build” game, communities from other regions should make their voices heard in hopes that BDO communities in other regions can follow his footsteps to make the game better.

From what I understand, the roundtable discussions with kakao are based off of a public discord. The representatives in the call come from multiple different guilds. These guilds include siege guilds, lifeskill guilds, and even roleplaying guilds. To spread misinformation saying that this is an attempt to push the agenda of one guild is quite pathetic even for some of the more pathetic figures in NA.

This is the best way to get feedback from NA players to KR devs.  The changes discussed at the very least are a step in the right direction.  The round table's purpose is to make the game more fun for everyone based on feedback from a large number of NA players.

Its a shame, Ozpin always pretends.. well not the right word but He lets people talk then pushes His Agenda much like alot of the Man Up suggested changes that only benifit 1 guild (currently) if you've ever listed to a podcast you will understand, if you've seen the "protest" discord you will also understand. Don't get me wrong its good hes helping push for changes that have been asked for Since Release & gone ignored. But the thing thats an issue is i'm not sure if hes a east coast NA player he i know he plays with them & being USA players this is less of an issue to them But they are under 100ms ping & want a game move to Central USA Server, A game that the Publisher also supplies service to Oceanic territories that are already playing at 150-200ms ping. Which he is aware of as i saw him in an agruement with some players over before in discord & never offers an alternative other than Quote from discord "It benifits all players" which as you see from what i said earlier shows it Doesnt! it really doesnt! it only benifits the already lower Ping USA players. End of the day i guess it doesnt matter his selfishness is just 1 more reason to quit ontop of Kakao & Pearl Abyss bad decisions to date, They had enough time to fix/change/improve doing it now before Bless Online release is to little to late.

Great job! Keep in mind that the round table has representatives from many guilds and from many different levels of player. We should be thanking these guys for going out of their way to set up communication with kakao in an attempt to improve the game we love... This is a first step in the right direction!!

I like how Kakao is panicking over the fact that Bless Online is going to be released soon, and they realized that if people continue to hate this game for as long as they do they are going to lose customers bit time.

@That_Guy Bless already failed in Korea and Russia, it's unlikely that a already quite dated looking game will make BDO lose people for very long.

@Frank Besides the fact that it lacks content and is a completely standard bland mmo.

Glad I was able to help out with this back when we were protesting! Come such a long way since then, and making great changes. :) Can't wait to see what the future has in store for us now on BDO ~
