For the first semifinal match of the 2016 League of Legends World Championship, the reigning LCK champions ROX Tigers will face off against the reigning world champions SKT T1. As if by fate, both teams handily slew a Chinese giant 3-1 to secure their tickets to New York.

This match is guaranteed to showcase a level of play fitting of the grand finals; some pundits have gone as far as to say label it as "the true finals" of this year's World Championship. Will ROX finally overcome their demons and take down their longtime nemesis? Or will SKT yet again rewrite history by reaching the finals of Worlds for a record third time?
