Dallas Fuel sign Closer for 2019 OWL roster

The Dallas Fuel announced in a press release Monday evening that the team has acquired Won-sik "Closer" Jung by transfer from the London Spitfire. He has signed a two-year contract with the team and is the eighth player to be confirmed for their  2019 roster.

“We’ve had Closer on our radar for quite some time. He’s one of the most talented support players in Overwatch and obviously has great experience competing on the big stage, given his team’s runs in stage playoffs and Grand Finals last year,” said Aaron “Aero” Atkins, head coach of the Dallas Fuel. “We expect Closer to come in and be able to contribute to the Fuel immediately.”

Closer is a support player who was a part of the London Spitfire's Overwatch League inaugural season championship roster. Prior to the League, he played for MVP Space and GC Busan; with the latter team, he finished in first place at both APEX Season 4 and the 2017 APAC Premier.

He joins Timo "Taimou" Kettunen, Hyeon "EFFECT" Hwang, Pongphop "Mickie" Rattanasangchod, Jonathan Tejedor "HarryHook" Rua, Dylan "aKm" Bignet, Min-seok "OGE" Son, and Benjamin "uNKOE" Chevasson -- the seven players to be re-signed from Fuel's inaugural season roster -- on the organization's Season 2 team.

The Dallas Fuel finished 10th of 12 teams in the 2018 regular season, ending with an overall record of 12 wins/28 losses and failing to qualify for season playoffs. Currently, the team is building a new training facility for the team in Los Angeles, where they will practice for the duration of the upcoming season.
