After Three Long Years, KT Rolster Finally Secures a Spot in the World Championship

At last, KT Rolster will play on the Worlds' stage. Out of all the LCK teams, KT is the first to have guaranteed a spot in the 2018 World Championship.

On the 15th of August, Afreeca Freecs defeated Kingzone DragonX in the Round 1 of the LCK Summer Playoffs with a dominating score of 3-1. If Kingzone had won instead, KT would've been placed 2nd in terms of circuit points -- forcing them to either win the Summer Finals or the regional qualifier to reach Worlds.

Thanks to Afreeca Freecs advancing to the Round 2 of the Summer Playoffs, KT Rolster secured their direct ticket to Worlds. The last time KT saw play on the Worlds' stage was in 2015. In 2016 and 17, KT was eliminated in the regional qualifiers. After three long years, KT will finally play on the Worlds' stage.
