[LCK Summer Day 30 Review] KT Rolster Defeats Gen.G Esports and Griffin Remains at the Top of the LCK Leaderboard

On the 24th, taking place at the Seoul Gangnam Nexon Arena, the 30th day of the '2018 LCK Summer Split' took place. During the match that was played, Griffin defeated Kingzone. In addition, KT Rolster defeated Gen.G Esports and climbed to the 2nd place in the LCK standings.

Griffin defeated Kingzone in the 1st set of the 1st series. By handing over a kill to Kingzone in the botlane, Griffin had a shaky start. However, in the teamfights that happened soon after, Griffin had the faster backup and constantly caught out the members of Kingzone. Although Kingzone had secretly secured a Baron in an attempt to make a comeback, they failed to do so.

In game 2, Griffin's jungler, Tarzan, and support, Lehends displayed impressive performance. Tarzan ganked the enemy team's core champion, toplane Jayce, and Lehends made a roam to the midlane to secure a kill on Vel'Koz. These two plays completely turned the game in favor of Griffin. With ease, Griffin took the series 2-0.

In the series between KT Rolster and Gen.G Esports, KT Rolster took the first victory. In the early game, of the 1st set, KT Rolster lost their outer botlane tower. However, once Deft hit his power spike, KT grabbed ahold of the flow of the game. The champion that finished the game was Mata's Rakan. Mata initiated a teamfight after calculating the enemy Tahm Kench's cooldown on 'Devour' and successfully killed Ezreal to finish the game.

KT also took the victory for the 2nd set. Although both sides were at even for the majority of the game, Deft once again put his team in the lead. During a teamfight in the mid game, Deft secured 3 kills and quickly reached his item spike. With his increase in power, Deft was able to lay waste to objectives and Gen.G's base. After destroying all Gen.G's inhibitors, KT secured their 2nd Baron buff of the game to close out the series.
