Longzhu Gaming receives massive investment from Suning

Sūníng Yúnshāng, one of China's top online and offline retailers, announced its official acquisition of Longzhu Gaming today. Longzhu Gaming is expected to receive an investment large enough to add and/or upgrade its teamhouse, players, coaching staff, administrative staff, and employee welfare.

Longzhu's head coach Donghoon Kang said: "I am grateful to Suning Group for making such a large investment decision. This makes me very happy, but I also feel an even greater responsibility."

Suning is the second largest private conglomerate in China. The group has rapidly expanded into traditional sports in recent years, particularly football:
Chinese Super League's Jiangsu Suning FC, Italian Serie A's FC Internationzale Milano, and the Chinese broadcasting rights for the English Premier League are all currently held by Suning.

The Chinese government has lately shown much interest in the eSports industry, and many Chinese companies are entering the field in accord.
