The Olympic Torch Relay with kt Rolster: "Good luck Pyeongchang!"


In the midst of the cheers from the citizens, kt Rolster finished the Torch Relay.

While the PyeongChang Winter Olympics Torch Relay was in full swing on the 15th, kt Rolster participated in the Torch Run as well. Five players including Score, Deft, Smeb, Mata, and Pawn acted as torchbearers and marched from Sinnonhyeon Station to Gangnam Station.

At the location, a crowd of people gathered to watch the Torch Run festival and it turned into quite a spectacle. Citizens gathered on the side of the road and moved with the runners who were carrying the torch while cheering. Whilst the members of kt were running with the torch, some of the citizens recognized the kt Rolster players and called out the player’s names. kt Rolster answered the crowd’s cheers while carrying the torch. They even posed for pictures as well.

The kt Rolster members who participated in the Torch Run festival said, “It was unfortunate that we

couldn’t show a more relaxed appearance because we were all so nervous.”. On top of this, kt Rolster said that they want to thank all the fans/citizens who came out to support and cheer for kt.

Pawn commented on the event, stating that he was “honored to be one of the 7,500 people who participated in the Torch Run Festival. I am also extremely honored that I get to represent such an enormous event like the Olympics.”. Smeb and Deft also spoke about the event, “We want to thank all the fans and citizens who went out of their way to support us today. Thanks to the fans, we could jump around and enjoy the festival.”. Lastly, Score gave a message of support by saying, “Good luck Pyeongchang Olympics!”.
