KSV Signs Former kt Rolster Head Coach Lee Ji-hoon as General Manager


On the 3rd of January (KST), KSV signed the former head coach of kt Rolster as general manager.

Lee Ji-hoon had first appeared in the scene as a FIFA gamer in 2000. He had been the champion 18 times and started coaching at KTF Magic N’s (now kt Rolster) after retirement. After coaching KTF Magic N’s, he coached in many different areas such as Starcraft and Special Force and stayed with the team.


After helping the kt Rolster Starcraft team become champions for the first time ever, and winning two years in a row, he led the Special Force team to the championship in 2010 as well. When kt Rolster first created their League of Legends team in 2012, Lee became head coach and continued on his journey. He was the one who led kt Rolster as they won the 2014 LCK summer split and went to the quarter-finals of Worlds 2015.


At the end of 2017, he left kt Rolster, and in order to continue contributing to the eSports scene with his wide experience and outstanding career, Lee decided to come back into the scene as the general manager of KSV. Now he is concentrating on analyzing the teams of KSV to make them stronger and also, to make them champions.


“With my 19 years of experience in the scene as a player and as a coach, I will lead the many teams of KSV to be the world’s best.” Said Lee on joining KSV, further stating that “From managing the players to finance, my knowledge in the field will help all the teams maintain their reputation.”

Kevin Chou of KSV said, “I’m happy to have such a veteran join KSV” and added, “I expect Lee to maximize the competitiveness of the team [and] to have an impact in strengthening our global influence.”
