Marta Cienkowska, Poland's Minister of Culture and National Heritage, expressed a strong commitment to expanding practical cooperation between the Korean and Polish gaming industries.
Immediately following the Central and Eastern European Game Awards (CEEGA 2026) held in Poznań, Poland, on October 23, Minister Cienkowska met with a Korean and Japanese gaming media delegation to answer questions regarding the direction of game industry cooperation between the countries and the Polish government's support plans for the gaming industry.
When asked on that day about a long-term vision for cooperation between the Korean and Polish gaming industries, Minister Cienkowska expressed her desire to meet directly with South Korea's ministry responsible for culture to discuss specific cooperation measures.
She said, "I want to meet directly with officials from South Korea's cultural ministry to discuss practical cooperation and agreements," adding, "While our two countries are cooperating ever more closely in the creative industries and cultural sector, we now need to move beyond dialogue and create actual projects and agreements."
She also expressed high interest in the Korean gaming market. Minister Cienkowska emphasized, "The Korean market is a very interesting market for us," adding, "Now is the time to step away from talk and build something together."

She also revealed Polish government support plans for the gaming industry. Minister Cienkowska stated that the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage is preparing its first support program targeted at game developers.
She explained, "The gaming industry also needs support from the Polish government. Small development teams in particular have high growth potential, but often need a bit of support in their early stages." According to her, open applications for the support program are planned to launch as early as this November.
In response to a Japanese journalist's question, she emphasized the artistic value of Polish games to Japanese gamers. Minister Cienkowska urged gamers to experience Polish games firsthand, saying, "Polish games are among the most beautiful and immersive games in the world. Our developers are true artists." She added that a promotional campaign is underway to showcase the diverse worlds presented by Polish games, expressing hope that more gamers will purchase and play Polish games.
Meanwhile, Minister Cienkowska attended the CEEGA 2026 awards ceremony on that day and participated in presenting the Best Game award. Sad Cat Studios' 'REPLACED' was named this year's Best Game.
