Black Desert was updated on Wednesday, October 21. This update includes balance adjustments aimed at curbing the so-called 'stone meta,' alongside improvements to Black Shrine content and adjustments to Blue Whale loot.
1. Class Adjustments
- In PvP, when the target's defense capability exceeds the attacker's attack capability, the minimum AP ratio applied to the attacker has been increased from 5% → 7%
- If the attacker's AP after all damage reduction effects are applied is lower than the minimum AP ratio → damage will be calculated using the minimum AP ratio

2. Black Shrine Improvements
- Added Calamity 8 and Calamity 9 difficulties for Imoogi and Bari
- Changed Calamity 1 to Calamity 7 so players can challenge them using their own gear without using Light's Orbs (boss levels and rewards adjusted per difficulty)
- Made Calamity 10 difficulty unavailable for entry (scheduled to be reintroduced at a higher difficulty in the future)
- Changed entry requirements for challenge difficulties (Calamity 8 = Calamity 1 to Calamity 3 / Calamity 9 = Calamity 4 to Calamity 6 / Calamity 10 = Calamity 7 to Calamity 9)

3. Blue Whale Improvements
- Adjusted loot quantities obtained upon defeating the Blue Whale
- Doubled the drop rate for Cranial Bone, Chest Bone, and Tail Bone
