Neverness to Everness introduced new band character 'Akane Rin' and the song God Knows… through the second half of its Version 1.4 update on October 21. As login rewards, 2 million Fons and Akane Rin's costume 'House Special' are being distributed.
Developed by Hotta Studio under Perfect World Co., Ltd., Neverness to Everness is a supernatural urban open-world RPG. The newly joining S-Rank character 'Akane Rin' is a Lakshana-attribute main DPS who wields an electric guitar as a weapon. She attacks enemies at mid-to-long range using 'Overtone' and 'Reverb Field' mechanics, and in the open world, she can play her guitar regardless of location.
Along with the character release, the limited-time board 'Dazzling Star' has opened. On this board, players can acquire a limited glider, livery, and a new costume for 'Akane Rin'. In the limited Arc research recruit plan 'Sun, Moon, and Stars Special Issue', the drop rate for the limited S-Rank Arc 'Far Side of the Moon' is increased.
'Akane Rin' is a character who appeared at the live house 'StarSign' in the side story 'First Page of a Legendary Band(?)', serving as the guitarist and lead vocalist of the band 'The Whoots!!!!'. This follow-up story depicts the band performing God Knows… at Clement Academy's 100th-anniversary celebration concert. Akane Rin's Korean voice is provided by voice actress Kim Haru.
Prior to this, on October 15, the special animation "God Knows… (Neverness to Everness Cover ver.)" was released on official channels. The track featured in the video is the collaboration song teased during the Version 1.4 preview special broadcast, sung directly by voice actress Ikumi Hasegawa, who handles Akane Rin's Japanese voice-over.
On the theme park island 'Puka Paradise', a first-person haunted house experience called 'Spooky Cookie House' has been added. In addition, the PvP content 'Crunchy! Golden Double Crunch', defense content 'Charcoal's Treasure', and the second Porsche collaboration have been prepared.
