On October 15, the Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) held a special lecture at the Pangyo Game Institute for 70 enrolled students to enhance their practical game development skills.
The topic of the lecture was rating classification criteria for self-rated game products. Using the students' ongoing graduation projects as examples, GRAC explained evaluation criteria and key considerations for post-management. Customized advice was also provided to individual students to help minimize trial and error during game development.
This session follows a special lecture on improving game perception held in July. It was organized to enhance the practical skills of prospective game developers and foster a better understanding of the rating classification system. The event was co-hosted by GRAC, the Korea Game Policy Association, and the Game Institute, with sponsorship from the Korea Association of Game Industry (K-GAMES) and Tencent.
A participating student remarked, "It was a meaningful opportunity to gain a clear understanding of the rating criteria, which had felt abstract, by applying them directly to our actual graduation projects."
Tae-geon Seo, Chairman of the Game Rating and Administration Committee, stated, "Following July's lecture, we will continue collaborating with related organizations to help prospective developers understand a healthy gaming ecosystem and grow into skilled professionals. We will strive to consistently drive practical, field-centered educational programs."
