Nexon is running a collaboration event in its MMORPG Mabinogi with the TV anime Witch Hat Atelier. Running for four weeks until maintenance on November 12, the collaboration features story quests alongside characters from the anime as well as various reward content.
The story quests follow the journey of the anime characters who arrive in the world of Mabinogi drawn by an unfamiliar power. Players, as Milletians, progress through the story alongside Coco, Qifrey, Agott, Tetia, and Richeh. The quests will unlock sequentially week by week over the four weeks, and completing Week 1 rewards players with 'Qifrey's Rescue Chair,' which recreates an iconic scene from the show.
The event rewards also include miniatures of the anime characters. In 'Miniature Enhancement,' players can select their desired appearance and stats and enhance them to obtain a miniature. Placing these miniatures in their Homestead will boost player stats. Event points can be exchanged for character outfit sets, hair and eye Beauty Coupons, Homestead props, 1st and 2nd Titles, Damage Skins, and more.
Players can also participate in daily quests where they can choose their preferred tasks from multiple options. The 'Erinn Marble' event, which awards extra event currency, is running alongside the collaboration, and passive buffs will be provided throughout the event period.
According to Nexon, Witch Hat Atelier is a fantasy anime following Coco, a young girl who longs to be a wizard, as she grows into an apprentice wizard. It premiered globally on Netflix this past April and ranked among the TOP 10 series on Netflix in South Korea.
