Nexon updated Vindictus with Season 4 Episode 16 'Throne of Fate' on October 15. Serving as the final episode of Season 4—which spanned seven years—the update introduces a new raid alongside Level 125 equipment.
For equipment progression, a Legendary advancement stage has opened for Eriu Weapons. New Level 125 gear additions include Eriu Feet Armor and the Shackles of Control ring. Eriu Feet Armor can be advanced from Level 120 gear. Two new Rank 3 suffix enchants—Resonant and Tenacity—used for weapons as well as head and leg armor, have also been added, with the materials required for equipment advancement and crafting obtainable from the new raid.
'Throne of Fate' tells the story of the hero's party ascending the rocky mountain of Falias following clues to the final treasure in their search for the four great treasures of Erinn. Entered during the story, the new raid 'Ancient Temple Ruins' features Morphessa, the fourth filidh who guards Lia Fail, as its boss. Wielding a massive hammer, Morphessa is a holy knight commanding the powers of thunder and magnetism who has long judged those who target the treasure.
In the battle against Morphessa, players must counter hammer attacks charged with lightning, attacks that radiate lightning surrounding his entire body, and patterns that confuse enemies using magnetism. When he raises his hammer skyward to rain down lightning across the battlefield and bind players' feet, players must quickly read magnetic polarity to respond. His attacks grow significantly stronger in the latter half of the fight.
The Season 4 Epilogue event, 'Coins of Intertwined Fate,' runs until November 12. Completing the story awards a 'Season 4 Episode 16 Reward Box' containing 15 Coins of Intertwined Fate. Players can also obtain Coins of Intertwined Fate from event boxes earned by completing Season 4 regional raids. The exchange shop remains open until November 19, offering rewards such as Packaged Wings of Intertwined Fate, the title 'Master of Fate,' and the 'Black and White' emblem. Crafted to celebrate the grand finale of Season 4, the Wings of Intertwined Fate blend the wings of Cichol and Morrighan into a single design.
The 'Autumn Night Vending Machine' event runs during the same period. By using 20 Vending Machine Coins provided each week to select and complete missions in the vending machine event UI, players can earn equipment growth rewards. Rewards include the Uaithne/Eriu Weapon Advancement Crystal Choice Box, Uaithne/Eriu Armor Advancement Crystal Choice Box, Uaithne Fragment Choice Box, Unknown Fragment Rank 3, and Instinct Fragment Rank 3.
An event granting one additional Evil Core upon completing the new raid 'Ancient Temple Ruins' runs until October 29. In the 'Hero Pass' event running until December 10, players can complete account-wide missions to raise their pass level. Depending on the level reached, rewards such as the Packaged Mini Wisp, Hero Pass Epaulet, and Precious Essence Choice Box are awarded.
