Nexon (Co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) updated Season 27 'Midnight City' in its FPS game 'Counter-Strike Online' on October 15.
This season pass offers the new class 'Midnight Miho' as a Level 100 reward. It also introduces the 'Pink Rush' paint design applicable to weapons such as 'Dual Beretta', 'AN94', and 'PKM', along with the 'Midnight Ribbon Headband' costume, 'Night Street Sentinel' pet, and 'Superfan Heavy Zombie' zombie skin. Season-exclusive sprays, medals, and damage fonts have also been added.
The new map 'Rosehearts Street' is set in the streets of Midnight City decorated with ribbons and hearts. It is available in various modes, including Original, Deathmatch, and Zombie Hero. Players who log 15 and 30 minutes of cumulative playtime on this map through November 12 will receive season badges.
In Zombie Hero mode, a total of 18 new skills have been added across 9 zombie types, with 2 for each zombie. The affected zombies are Voodoo Zombie, Banshee, Stamper, Aksha, Rusty Wing, Venom Guard, Sting Finger, Ganymede, and Jiangshi. Voodoo Zombie's 'Single Heal' connects with a targeted ally to continuously restore health, while Banshee's 'AoE Pull' fires a swarm of bats to pull humans from a wide area. Cooldowns and recovery values for shared skills such as 'Augmentation', 'Regenerate', and 'Protection' have also been adjusted.
Zombie-exclusive supply boxes have also been introduced. Obtaining a box fully restores health and armor while resetting skill cooldowns. Additionally, when the rage gauge is full, the system has been revamped so players can evolve into an 'Enraged Powerful Host Zombie' at a time of their choice.
Through February 18, 2027, playing Zombie Hero mode will award kits that allow players to experience various zombie skills. An event will also take place where completing a set number of rounds each week allows players to select and obtain their desired zombie skill.
To celebrate the launch of the new custom weapon 'Viper Fang', the video contest 'Find the Best Combination!' will run until October 28. To enter, players can upload a video featuring weapon combinations that synergize with 'Viper Fang' and practical gameplay guides to their YouTube channel with the hashtag '#ViperFang', and then post a verification thread on the strategy board of the official website.
Nexon will select three top entries to receive up to 300,000 Nexon Cash, while 30 participants will be drawn to receive 30,000 Nexon Cash. Further details regarding the update and events can be found on the official Counter-Strike Online website.
