H2 Interactive announced that the Korean version of Re-Volt will officially launch on Nintendo Switch and PS5 on November 5. This version supports Korean language options and up to four-player split-screen local multiplayer.
Players can select one of 28 radio-controlled (RC) cars to enter races. The maximum item inventory limit has been increased from 1 to 3, and in-game help and a minimap have also been added. Split-screen local multiplayer allows multiple people to race together on a single system.
Originally released in 1999, Re-Volt is a racing game that has since been ported to various platforms. It features racing through everyday environments like schools, supermarkets, and homes from the perspective of a toy-sized RC car. Tracks include supermarkets, toy shops, ghost towns, museums, and more.
The background story centers on Toy-Volt, a company that has been producing games and toys for children. The game tells the story of its products gaining sentience, escaping en masse, and causing chaos everywhere as they enjoy their freedom.
In races, players can experience the drift and suspension physics of RC cars. It also features item battles using items such as 'Bomb', 'Rocket', 'Battery Charge', and 'Oil Slick'. Game modes consist of 'Time Trial', 'Stunt Arena', 'Championship', multiplayer, and more.
The Nintendo Switch version will also be released in a physical boxed edition.
